Sirocco Books is a small book publishing company specializing in paranormal and fantasy fiction.

“The Vampire’s Opera” is Sirocco Books first release in the Tales Of The Rialto Vampires series comprised of three novels. An engaging and breathtaking paranormal fantasy novel, the story centers around Nicolas Portinari and his lover/companion, Giuliana de Cordova, two vampires who have managed to live undetected in human society for centuries until one fateful night at the Paris Opera House.

The second book in the series, “The Vampire’s Sonata” was released in March 2025 and continues the epic and enthralling supernatural dark romance story of vampires Nicolas Portinari and Guiliana de Cordova and introduces Francois Durand, who changes the course of Nicolas’ life.

Sirocco Books has also released Part I and 2 of a three parts novella, “Midnight In The Gardens of El-Samun,” about the first meeting of the two main characters in “The Vampire’s Opera,” , Nicolas & Giuliana. Joy and Joe met in high school. They began their writing collaboration in the mid 80’s on an interactive fiction board where they explored writing in a variety of genres. This experience led them to a shared love of paranormal and fantasy fiction and resulted in the creation of their series of novels.

Joy Crozier is a Florida native and reformed accountant, who escaped to the great Northwest in 2013 to pursue farming and support the farm-to-table movement. Joy is a painter and an avid gardener. She is also a lifelong lover of books and is especially fascinated by the alternate worlds created in fantasy fiction. She has two smart, intuitive daughters, Ally and Cara, and an endlessly patient and supportive husband, Ken. She also lives with six high-energy English Springer Spaniels: Starbuck, Luna, Oliver, Leeloo, Mulder, and River.

Joseph Floyd is a Florida native born in Tampa. A retired research librarian from the University of South Florida, his areas of expertise included Women’s & Gender Studies and Anthropology. Joe served on the editorial board of the Tampa Bay Review and is a past winner of the University of South Florida Annual Poetry & Fiction Contest. His work has been published in Pleiades and the Tampa Bay Review. Joe lives in Tampa with his husband Danny and a very recalcitrant Maine Coon cat named Maxwell Edison.
